Le Pressoir a Cidre is an attractive Cottage, constructed in stone. The Cottage was built approx 1860.
Le Pressoir a Cidre is situated in the hamlet of Coz Castel, which is a small cluster of houses set in a typical French Hamlet. The attractive town of Huelgoat is 5 mins away. There you will find bars, cr�perie, restaurants and shops. The pretty town square has 2 boulangeries/patisseries, a charcuterie and a small supermarket where you can buy fresh fish. The square is a nice place to sit in the sun with a coffee or something stronger and watch the world go by. There is also a beautiful lake where you can sit by and have a drink or something to eat. There are numerous restaurants and creperies to suit all tastes and budgets. The town of Huelgoat is a pretty town with a lovely market square and large lake, and is famous for its giant granite boulders and woodlands. It is situated within the Park Regional D'Amorique. The forest next to the town is said to be where King Arthur's treasure is buried. A pleasant network of trails take walkers past caves, menhirs, unusual geographical formations, including the precariously named Trembling Rock, and past abandoned lead and silver mines. Maps and leaflets are available from the pretty tourist office in the town. The town offers a range of bars, cr�perie & restaurants, shops (charcuterie, boulangeries, pharmacies, paper & book shops with English papers, supermarkets,) and has a market on Thursdays offering a wide range of foods and local specialities. There is also a well known botanic garden, a centre for local honey, a public open air pool, Tennis courts. Art exhibitions and equestrian events are also held in the town.
Restored 3 bedroom, 2 Bathroom. 'Cottage. Ideally situated for exploring the superb countryside in the centre of Brittany. There is plenty to do for all ages. Cycling, bikes can be hired locally if required, fishing, swimming, tennis, walking, exploring, shopping or just relaxing.

  • Kitchen/Dining Area. Well equipped with a range of modern units. Gas Cooker, Microwave, Fridge and Washing Machine, Kettle, toaster, etc. Dining Table Chairs, High Chair,Butchers Block, Ironing board and Iron.
  • Bedroom 1: King Size four poster bed and Single bed or Travel Cot if required, wardrobe, chestdrawers, bedside cabinets with bedside lamps.This is a large room very light and airy.
  • Bedroom 2: Twin Beds and bedroom furniture,This room is lovely and bright.
  • Bedroom 3: Bunk beds and bedroom furniture. Ideal for the children. Two boxes of toys for the children to play with
  • Bathroom 1: With Toilet, Sink unit, Hydro Shower.
  • Bathroom 2: Is situated on the Ground Floor, with Toilet, Sink unit, Bath with Shower attachment.

The Grounds

The garden is to the rear of the property with, patio area with loungers, table and chairs with parasol, BBQ area, Play area with swings,lawned area. The The garden also has dry stone walling to the rear. There is plenty of room to lounge in the sun.

The Town

A 5 minute drive, will take you to the town square.

Huelgoat is within easy reach of Morlaix, Quimper and Brest. The coast is within 45 minutes drive with the seaside towns of Carantec, Loquirec, Carnaret, Berndet, Concarneau and Roscoff, and some of the prettiest landscapes, beaches and Islands of Brittany. The wooded lake Guerledan is only a short drive away with windsurfing, rowing, motorboats and a beach. This lake is suitable for swimming and sunbathing. Brest is good for shopping and has one of Europe's finest and largest aquariums  
 

Nearest shops/villages

HUELGOAT - Local  town with Restaurants, Creperies, Bars. Shop, Post Office and Payphone, Lake. Communal outdoor swimming pool. Supermarket. Outdoor Market every Thursday. There are 3 Notaires for those who are house hunting. Huelgoat is about 5 minutes drive from the cottage.

POULLAUOEN - Larger village about 15 minutes drive away. Several Bar/Tabacs and shop. For those who are house-hunting, there is a Notaire with a large selection of properties for sale.

CARHAIX - Large town about 20 minutes minutes drive away. Lots of shops, bars, restaurants and street cafes. There is a big 'Leclerc' supermarket open Mon-Sat all day and often until 7pm. Large 'Casino' supermarket in the main square. The newsagent in the main street sells English newspapers, usually a day after publication. Also, there is a pharmacy, launderette, McDonalds(!) and LIDL. Local Hospital (signposted). Petrol station situated at the back of the Leclerc supermarket. There are several large Notaires in the town.

CALLAC - Small town about 30 minutes drive away. Small 'Intermarche' supermarket which is also open on Sunday morning until 12 noon. Several Bar/Tabacs and patisseries. If you love French 'country' house furnishings and accessories, there is a wonderful shop in Callac called 'Le Comptoir de Campagne' which is well worth a visit!!

This is just to give you an idea of the facilities in the area. The cottage is also only about 30 minutes drive from Morlaix, a large thriving Market Town with plenty going on and bigger shops, supermarkets and amenities. There is a huge 'G�ant' hypermarket there.
